Introduction： Considering the importance of analyzing Total Mercury (THg) and Methylmercury (MeHg) in recent years, US EPA has set up two standard methods, which include EPA 1631 and EPA 1630. The Brooks Rand Labs Interlaboratory Comparison Study (Intercomp) for THg and MeHg, now in its third year, was initiated to take the place of the Mercury Round Robin, which was conducted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) on an annual basis between 2001 and 2009. This exercise provides a reliable means for laboratories to test their competency in the analysis of total mercury and methylmercury in natural waters, as well as a metric for assessing the intercomparability of data generated by different laboratories. Brooks Rand Labs undertook the organization of the Intercomp in 2011, upon learning that the Florida DEP no longer planned to continue the exercise. In 2014, over 60 famous laboratories around the world participated.
Conditions of participation: Any laboratories wish to receive the data with reference to THg and MeHg that is globally recognized
Comparison method：All participating laboratories will receive the same 500 mL water samples. All analysis results will be submitted to a third-party data handler, and in the meantime, an anonymous ID number will be allocated respectively.
Comparison results：All participating laboratories will receive the analysis report with the comparison results and related certificate of participation.
How to participate：please register before January 26th ,2015.
Way 1：You can directly contact Brook Rand.
Way 2：You can also contact Esensing Anlytical Technology Co., Ltd in order to acquire the registration form.
For labs in China, the total cost of participation is $350, including shipping.
Welcome to participate!
